AbstractHydatid cyst is a parasitic cystic disease caused by Echinococcus. Although this parasitic disease mostly affects the liver and lungs in the body, involvement in many parts of the body has been reported in the literature. A 50-year-old female patient presented to our clinic with a palpable mass and pain in her left thigh. Considering the lipomatous mass formed in the soft tissue, the patient was requested ultrasonography, and total cyst excision was performed with the pre-diagnosis of hydatid cyst due to the appearance of a cyst. During the operation, cysts were observed, and histopathological examination reported hydatid cyst. Albendazole treatment of 15 mg/kg/day was started. It was observed that the complaint of the patient who was called for control had disappeared. In regions such as our country where hydatid cysts are endemic, it should be kept in mind that hydatid cyst may also be present in the etiology of soft tissue masses. |

ÖzetKist hidatik, Echinococcus'un neden olduğu paraziter kistik bir hastalıktır. Bu paraziter hastalık vücutta en fazla karaciğer ve akciğerde tutulum gösterse de, literatürde vücudun birçok yerinde tutulum bildirilmiştir. 50 yaşında kadın hasta, kliniğimize sol uyluk bölgesinde ele gelen kitle ve ağrı şikayeti başvurdu. Yumuşak dokuda oluşan lipomatöz kitle düşünülerek ultrasonografi istenen hastada kistik görünüm gelmesiyle kist hidatik ön tanısıyla total kist eksizyonu yapıldı. Ameliyat sırasında kistlerin olduğu görüldü ve histopatolojik inceleme sonucunda kist hidatik olduğu rapor edildi. Hastaya 15 mg/kg/gün albendazol tedavisi başlandı. Kontrole çağrılan hastanın şikayetinin geçmiş olduğu görüldü. Ülkemiz gibi kist hidatiğin endemik olduğu bölgelerde, yumuşak dokuda gelişen kitlelerin etiyolojisinde kist hidatik de olabileceği akla getirilmelidir. |
