AbstractLipomas are the most common benign tumours in the soft tissues, composed of adult type mature fatty cells. Although approximately 13% of lipomas are seen at head and neck region, they may be rarely seen at larynx. In this manuscript, we presented a tumor of a 49-years old man who presented with hoarseness, which arisen from left ventricular band and had a pathological diagnosis of lipoma. A tumor consisted of mature lipocytes were seen in the microscopic evaluation of the specimen with no characteristic gross finding. These tumors, in which treatment is total resection, can recur after subtotal resection. One should consider well-differentiated liposarcoma in the presence of recurrence despite total resection. This case with laryngeal lipoma arisen from left ventricle was presented in this manuscript, as it is rarely seen. |

ÖzetErişkin tipte matür yağ hücrelerinden oluşan lipomlar yumuşak dokunun en sık görülen benign tümörleridir. Tüm lipomların %13 kadarı baş- boyun bölgesinde görülmekle birlikte larinks bölgesinde nadir görülürler. Bu yazıda, ses kısıklığı şikayeti ile kliniğe başvuran 49 yaşındaki bir erkek hastanın, muayenesinde sol ventriküler banttan kaynaklanan, patolojik tetkiki sonucu lipom olan tümörü sunulmaktadır. Makroskobik bulguları özellikli olmayan materyalin mikroskobik incelemesinde düzgün sınırlı, matür yağ hücrelerinden oluşan tümör görüldü. Tedavisi cerrahi ile total rezeksiyon olan bu tümörler subtotal rezeksiyon sonrası rekürrens gösterebilir. Total rezeksiyona rağmen rekürrens varlığında iyi diferansiye liposarkom akla gelmelidir. Nadir görülmesi nedeniyle bu yazıda sol ventriküler kaynaklı larinks lipom vakası takdim edilmiştir. |
