AbstractAcute abdominal pain is one of the common causes of emergency department visits. Rectus sheath hematoma is rare but it might be misdiagnosed as acute abdomen. In this article, we report a case of spontaneous rectus sheath hematoma presenting with acute abdominal pain to the emergency department. The wrong diagnosis can cause unnecessary laporotomies with high mortality and morbidity. Appropriate clinical evaluation in the emergency department is important for correct diagnosis and avoids unnecessary laparotomies. |

ÖzetAkut abdominal ağrı acil servis başvurularının sık nedenlerinden birisidir. Rektus kılıfı hematomu nadirdir ancak yanlışlıkla akut abdomen tanısı konulabilir. Bu makalede acil servise akut karın ağrısı ile başvuran bir spontan rektus kılıfı hematomu olgusunu sunduk. Yanlış tanı yüksek morbidite ve mortalite ile birlikte gereksiz laparotomilere neden olabilir. Acil serviste uygun klinik değerlendirme doğru tanı için önemlidir ve gereksiz laparotomileri önler. |
