AbstractBezoars are the non-digestible contents that occur in the gastrointestinal tract, depending on endogenous and exogenous reasons. These are one of the rare causes of intestinal obstruction. Among the bezoars, phytobezoars are the most common kind and these masses are associated with previous gastric surgeries. In our patient with ileus who had had ulcer surgery previously, a conservative initial approach was preferred due to the fact that radiological methods did not provide a definitive diagnosis and there was no acute abdomen. However, as the ileus did not improve, diagnostic laparotomy was performed and phytobezoar was detected. The phytobezoar was removed with enterotomy. |

ÖzetBezoarlar, endojen ve ekzojen sebeplere bağlı olarak genellikle gastrointestinal sistemde ortaya çıkan intraluminal yerleşimli sindirilemeyen içeriklerdir. Nadir görülen intestinal obstrüksiyon sebeblerinden biridir. Bezoarlar arasında karşımıza en sık fitobezoarlar çıkar ve bu kitleler geçirilmiş gastrik cerrahiler ile ilişkilendirilir. Geçirilmiş ülser cerrahisi mevcut olan ileuslu olgumuzda da radyolojik yöntemler ile kesin tanı konulamaması ve akut batın tablosu olmaması nedeni ile konservatif yaklaşım tercih edilmiştir. Ancak, ileus tablosunun düzelmemesi nedeni ile hastaya tanısal laparotomi uygulanmış ve saptanan fitobezoar enterotomi ile çıkarılmıştır. |
