AbstractThe purpose of this case report is discuss the treatment modalities and survival in the different histopathologic features of carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma with the current literature. A patient who is 20 years old, admitted to our clinic with growing mass anterior of the right auricula. Physical examination revealed that a 6x8 cm solid, smooth surface mass was palpated in the parotid gland. Fine-needle aspiration biopsy reported as pleomorphic adenoma and the patient underwent superficial parotidectomy with resection of the mass. Pathology resulted noninvasive, intracapsular, in situ carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma, any treatments had not given to patient. There were no recurrence in 6 monthly examinations. Histopathological features in parotid carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenomas affects the treatment modalities and survival. |

ÖzetBu olgu sunumunun amacı, parotis tükürük bezi tümörlerinden karsinoma ex pleomorfik adenomada, farklı histopatolojik özelliklerin tedavi modalitesi ve sağ kalım üzerine etkisini güncel literatür eşliğinde tartışmaktır. Sağ kulak arkasında 20 yıldır kitle şikayeti olan ve son 1 ay içerisinde kitlede büyümesi olan hasta kliniğimize başvurdu. Fizik muayenede sağ parotis tükürük bezi yerleşimli, 6x8 cm ebadında solid, düzgün yüzeyli kitle palpe edildi. İnce iğne aspirasyon biyopsisi pleomorfik adenoma ile uyumlu olan hastaya kitle eksizyonu ile beraber yüzeyel parotidektomi uygulandı. Patoloji sonucu non-invaziv, intrakapsüler, in situ karsinoma ex pleomorfik adenoma olarak bildirilen hastaya ek bir tedavi verilmedi. Hastanın 6 aylık kontrollerinde nükse ait bulgulara rastlanılmadı. Parotis karsinoma ex pleomorfik adenomada histopatolojik özellikler tedavi modalitesini ve sağ kalım süresini etkilemektedir. |
