Causapedia is an electronic journal which publishes peer-reviewed scientific case-reports as well as multimedia tutorials including videos and images. İt is published in January, May and September as three issues annually. All accepted manuscripts are published immediately.
A short video of an interesting case or a descriptive case photo are within the scope of this journal. Video files should be in high definition with a maximum size of 15 MB and should take max. 15 minutes. Video presentations may have dubbing and visual markings. Both case videos and photos should include a brief literature review (between 500 to 750 words and up to 5 references).
Manuscripts should only be sent in electronic form by online submission. Mail-in submissions will not be accepted.
Only the manuscripts which have not been published or those not being considered for publication elsewhere will be accepted for editorial review. When using tables, figures and illustrations adapted from another source (printed or electronic media), authors must obtain written permission from the original publisher or copyright holder and this should be acknowledged properly within the manuscript.
When the article is submitted for peer-review, the order of authors can only be changed by providing the written permission of all authors.
İf the manuscript meets the journal’s style, it is reviewed by the editors and two referees who are experts on the particular field. Manuscripts are accepted for publication only after the approval of Editorial Board. The review period is max. 3 weeks.
Language
The language of the journal is English. Spelling and grammar checks are done by layout editors when necessary without making any significant change in manuscript’s scientific content.
Scientific and Ethic Principles
All authors should have made substantial contribution to the manuscript. All contributory authors are responsible of the submission’ scientific and ethical compliance. İnstitutions and organizations providing financial support and all sorts of commercial ties in the context of conflict of interest should be stated in the cover letter for editor. Each case report should include an informed consent from each patient which is explicitly stated in the Case Report section.

For those articles which are accepted for publication, Causapedia should be quoted when they, whether as whole or in part, are used in another publishing medium in terms of scientific and ethical principles.
