AbstractVirchow-Robin spaces are perivascular spaces that surround the perforating arteries that enter the brain. The space are normally microscopic, but when dilated, they may be seen on magnetic resonance images. Sixty-one-years-olad female patient applied to our hospital with severe headache for ten years. On cerebral magnetic resonance imaging examination, Virchow-Robin spaces were detected at corpus callosum. İnvasive diagnostic examinations are unnecessary. |

ÖzetVirchow-Robin mesafeleri beyne giren perforan arterlerin çevresini saran perivasküler alanlardır. Mesafeler genelde mikroskobiktir, fakat genişledikleri zaman manyetik rezonans görüntülerde saptanabilir. İnvazif tanı yöntemleri gerekli değildir. Altmış bir yaşında, kadın hasta, 10 yıldır olan şiddetli başağrısı ile hastanemize başvurdu. Serebral manyetik rezonans görüntülemede, korpus kallozumda Virchow-Robin mesafeleri saptandı. |
