AbstractDiffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis (DISH) is a disease of unknown etiology characterized with calcification and ossification of soft tissues such as ligaments and entheses. The most common symptoms in DISH are pain and hardness on the spine, movement restriction, and dysphagia due to compression of the esophagus. It is diagnosed with radiologic examinations. In this article, we discussed in light of the literature a patient who applied to our clinic due to obstructive sleep apnea syndrome; in whom DISH was detected in examination and analysis. |

ÖzetDiffüz idiyopatik iskelet hiperostozu (DISH) etyolojisi tam bilinmeyen, ligamanlar ve entezis gibi yumuşak dokuların kalsifikasyonu ve ossifikasyonu ile karakterize bir hastalıktır. DISH?de en sık karşılaşılan semptomlar omurgada ağrı ve sertlik, hareket kısıtlılığı ve özofagus kompresyonuna bağlı disfajidir. Tanısı radyolojik incelemelerle konulur. Bu yazıda, obstrüktif uyku apnesi sendromu nedeniyle kliniğimize başvuran; muayene ve incelemede DISH saptanan bir hasta literatür eşliğinde tartışıldı. |
