AbstractPost-traumatic pulmonary pseudocyst, occurring after blunt trauma, is a relatively rare event, it is a thin-walled, gas-filled space within the lung. The formation of this lesion requires a direct violent impact on the pliable lung wall which explains its frequency in young adults. The majority of traumatic pulmonary pseudocysts are benign self-limiting lesions which do not require specific treatment. Although Post-traumatic pulmonary pseudocyst is usually benign in nature, complications associated with hemoptysis and secondary infection may develop. Usually spontaneous resolution is seen in 2- 4 months after trauma, but a few of them are get into abscess or tension cyst formation after progressive expansion and in these circumstances surgical resection is indicated. In this report, we present four cases of post-traumatic pulmonary pseudocyst occuring after blunt thoracic trauma, where conservative treatment provided good outcomes. |

ÖzetPost-travmatik pulmoner psödokist, künt travma sonrası meydana gelen nispeten nadir bir durumdur. Akciğer içinde ince duvarlı, gaz ile dolmuş bir alandır. Bu lezyonun oluşumu esnek akciğer duvarına doğrudan şiddet etkisi gerektirir ve bu genç erişkinlerde sıklığını açıklar. Travmatik pulmoner psödokistlerin büyük bir kısmı spesifik bir tedaviye gerek göstermeksizin kendini sınırlayan iyi huylu lezyonlardır. Post-travmatik pulmoner psödokist genellikle iyi seyirli olmasına rağmen hemoptizi ve sekonder enfeksiyon ile ilişkili komplikasyonlar gelişebilir. Genellikle 2-4 ay içinde spontan rezolüsyon gösterirler. Ancak çok azı, infekte olursa abse formasyonu oluşturabilir veya progresif olarak ekspanse olursa tansiyon kisti geliştirebilir. Bu tür komplikasyonlarda ise seçilecek tedavi, cerrahidir. Bu yazıda, konservatif tedavi ile iyi sonuçlar sağlanan, künt toraks travması sonrası post-travmatik pulmoner psödokist gelişmiş dört olgu sunuldu. |
