AbstractLipomas are benign tumors commonly seen on soft tissues. They are rarely seen on head and neck regions. Lipomas arising from the buccal region has been reported in the literature very few. Clinically and histologically, it is been confused with liposarcom. A fifty-year-old female patient, suffering from swelling on the left cheek since her childhood and increased over time, admitted to our clinic. After the physical examination and computed tomography, a mass with smooth borders and 6x6 cm in size has been showed which is compatible with lipomas. The mass was totally excised by intraoral approach. The pathology report showed that the mass is lipoma. A rare case of lipoma discussed in the buccal region in this study. |

ÖzetLipomlar, yumuşak dokunun sık görülen benign tümörleridir. Baş ve boyun bölgesinde nadir görülürler. Bukkal bölgeden kaynaklanan lipomlar literatürde oldukça az bildirilmiştir. Klinik ve histolojik olarak liposarkomla karışır. Elli yaşında bayan hasta, çocukluğundan beri sol yanakta boyutları zamanla artan şişlik şikâyeti ile kliniğimize başvurdu. Yapılan fizik muayene ve istenen bilgisayarlı tomografide düzgün sınırlı 6x6 cm boyutunda lipomla uyumlu bir kitle görüldü. Kitle intraoral yaklaşımla total olarak eksize edildi. Patoloji sonucu lipom geldi. Bu çalışmamızda bukkal bölgede nadir görülen lipom vakası tartışıldı. |
