AbstractStreptococcus pneumoniae is the most common cause of bacterial meningitis. The mortality and morbidity of pneumococcal meningitis is high. A fatal case of pneumococcal meningoencephalitis with cortical cerebritis, ventricular fluid-fluid level and cerebellar infarction was reported to highlight the importance of pneumococcal vaccination and adjunctive treatment options. |

ÖzetStreptococcus pneumonia en sık görülen bakteriyel menenjit etkenidir. Pnömokok menenjitinin mortalite ve mobiditesi yüksektir. Mortal seyreden, kortikal serebrit, ventriküler sıvı-sıvı seviyesi olan ve serebellar infarktı olan hastamız pnömokok aşısının önemine ve tamamlayıcı tedavi seçeneklerine dikkat çekmek amacıyla bildirilmiştir. |
