AbstractNeuroendoscopic third ventriculostomy is a technique used in the treatment of hydrocephalus. The morbidity associated with this technique is low and the success rate is high. It is important to ensure that ventriculostomy performed, is effective. Phase contrast-magnetic resonance imaging (PC-MRI) technique, provides information about its efficacy. PC-MRI shows cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) flow and CSF flow path non-invasively. To determine the efficacy of ventriculostomy performed on a thirty-two-year male patient two years ago, we used PC-MRI technique. Herein, we present his symptoms and findings. |

ÖzetNöroendoskopik üçüncü ventrikülostomi, hidrosefali tedavisinde başarı ile kullanılan, morbiditesi düşük, başarı oranı yüksek bir tekniktir. Üçüncü ventrikül tavanına açılan şantın fonksiyonel olup olmaması tedavinin etkinliğini için önemlidir. Faz kontrast - manyetik rezonans (FK-MRG) tekniği, beyin omurilik sıvısı (BOS) akımı ve BOS akım yolu hakkında invaziv işleme gerek duymadan bilgiler vermektedir. Biz bu olgu sunumu ile nöroendoskopik üçüncü ventrikülostomi operasyonu uygulanmış hastanın ventrikülostomi operasyonunun fonksiyonel olup olmadığını anlamak üzere FK-MRG yöntemi ile yapılan değerlendirmeyi ve bulgularını sunmayı amaçladık. |
